Iheanacho described Osimhen as a "fantastic guy" and a "fighter who has had to fight his way out of poverty," and praised his "warrior mentality" as inspiring, noting that Osimhen gives everything when he plays and is hungry to score goals.

The young striker also sees similarities between himself and Osimhen, stating "I can see a lot of things from him in myself," and expressed admiration for Osimhen's dedication to the sport.
