Yikodeen Company Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Spain-based environmental protection manufacturer, Sorbcontrol S.L, to expand oil spill response and industrial safety solutions across Nigeria’s oil and gas, marine, and industrial sectors.

According to a statement sent to Society Plus, Yikodeen has been appointed as an authorised distributor of Sorbcontrol products in Nigeria, giving local operators access to internationally recognised spill containment and environmental protection technologies designed for high-risk industrial environments.

The partnership comes amid growing emphasis on environmental sustainability, regulatory compliance and operational safety within Nigeria’s energy and industrial sectors, where companies are increasingly expected to strengthen spill preparedness and reduce ecological risks.

Through the arrangement, Yikodeen will handle the promotion, distribution and technical support of Sorbcontrol’s product range in Nigeria, while Sorbcontrol S.L will provide manufacturer authorisation, technical backing and product support to ensure effective local deployment.

The collaboration is expected to improve access to advanced spill response tools for operators in upstream and downstream oil and gas activities, marine facilities, industrial plants, logistics hubs and other sensitive environments where rapid containment is critical.

Speaking on the development, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Yinka Olayinka, said the partnership aligns with the company’s commitment to safer and more environmentally responsible industrial operations.
