Wikki Tourists official charges players and coaches to gear up for Nigerian Professional Football League comeback

Haruna Bako, the newly appointed Interim Sole Administrator of Bauchi State Football Club, Wikki Tourists FC, has urged the team's players and technical crew to maintain their focus and dedication as the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season approaches.

During a visit to the team's training session at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, Bako emphasized the importance of commitment, where players are currently undergoing assessment and selection for the upcoming campaign.

The ongoing selection exercise aims to identify the most suitable players to represent Wikki Tourists FC in the forthcoming Nigeria National League season, according to a statement made available on Thursday.

Bako addressed the players and officials, stating that his visit was intended to familiarize himself with the team following his recent formal appointment as Interim Sole Administrator.

He stressed that the collective goal is to secure an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League, achievable only through hard work, discipline, unity, and total commitment from all parties involved.

Bako also instructed the technical crew to uphold fairness and professionalism during the screening exercise, emphasizing that merit should guide the selection process.

He advised the technical crew to select only the most deserving players to represent Wikki Tourists FC in the new season, based on their skills and performance.

The club's Technical Adviser, Bala Abubakar, responded on behalf of the team, assuring Bako of the coaches' commitment to the task ahead and their determination to build a competitive team.

Abubakar expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in the coaches and pledged to work diligently towards returning Wikki Tourists FC to the NPFL.

Team captain Yusuf Mohammed also spoke, assuring Bako of the players' readiness to dedicate themselves to the cause and work towards regaining their place in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
