VIDEO: Peller, Jarvis tie the knot in star-studded traditional wedding

Popular content creators, Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, better known as Jarvis, on Saturday, officially tied the knot in a colourful traditional wedding ceremony held in Lekki, Lagos State.

The couple, who had been counting down to their big day, exchanged traditional marriage rites in the presence of family, friends and several celebrities.

Sharing photos from the ceremony on Instagram, the newlyweds gave fans a glimpse of their traditional Benin attire and reflected on the beginning of their married life.

“Today, we become one. Two tribes, one love. Two families, one forever. A new chapter begins, and forever starts now,” they wrote in a joint post.

On the eve of their wedding, the couple shared their final pre-wedding photos, telling fans they had stopped counting down because they were “starting forever.”

Ahead of the ceremony, Peller also revealed during a livestream that he plans to spend his honeymoon in eight different countries.

The wedding follows months of public celebrations leading up to their union.

In June, Peller proposed to Jarvis during an intimate beachside ceremony at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana. Jarvis accepted the proposal in an emotional moment that quickly went viral on social media.

A week later, Peller officially paid Jarvis’ bride price during a traditional introduction ceremony in her hometown of Benin City, describing the occasion as the beginning of their beautiful journey together.

The couple later announced that their wedding would take place on August 1, 2026.

They also gave fans behind-the-scenes moments from their wedding-themed video shoot, including a playful clip showing them mock-arguing while crew members looked on and laughed.

Earlier in the week, on July 29, the pair legally formalised their union at a court wedding attended by family, friends and media personality Daddy Freeze.

During the civil ceremony, Peller drew laughter after reacting to the marriage registrar’s explanation that bigamy is a criminal offence punishable by a minimum of five years’ imprisonment without the option of a fine.

The content creator had also disclosed that he attended private traditional pre-marriage counselling in Ikorodu to learn how to better care for Jarvis and become a responsible husband.
