VIDEO: Fubara Remains Tight-Lipped Following APC Screening Session
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State made a brief appearance before the All Progressives Congress governorship screening committee in Abuja on Sunday, but he was not forthcoming with information when approached by journalists.
nFubara's meeting with the committee, which was held at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge, is a required step for sitting governors who intend to run for re-election in the 2027 general elections.
nWhen questioned about the screening process, Fubara's response was terse, saying only "No comment" before declining to elaborate further.
nThe APC Governorship Screening Committee is led by Nentawe Yilwatda, the party's National Chairman, who oversaw Fubara's screening.
nFubara's appearance before the committee coincides with a period of intense political activity in Rivers State, as the state prepares for the upcoming election cycle.
