VIDEO: Cubana Chief Priest unveils branded luxury vehicles for Tinubu’s re-election campaign

Popular socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has sparked reactions online after flaunting customised luxury vehicles to campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 polls.
nCubana Chief Priest, who is said to be the City Boy Movement’s Director in Imo State, has been vocal about his political ambitions and alignment with the All Progressives Congress.nnn
nIn a series of videos posted on his Instagram story on Wednesday, he showed off the campaign-branded Lamborghini Urus alongside a Dongfeng M-Hero parked at a residence.
nBoth vehicles were similarly designed in green, white, blue and red colours, adorned with portraits of President Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and Tinubu’s son, Seyi.
nInscriptions such as “City Boy Movement,” “APC,” and “Asiwaju Still on Motion” were prominently displayed on the vehicle.
nThe videos, which have now been posted on other social media platforms by several individuals, have sparked reactions amid ongoing debates about the role of celebrities and socialites in Nigerian politics, with many questioning the use of such displays in a country grappling with economic challenges.
n“See what they’re using the money they can use to better a community to do,” #FowobiofLagos commented on X. Another user, #chukwuebuka wrote, “Man is shamelessly money driven. The love of money is the root of all…”
n#ObiOfala added, “ This one no send wetin anybody the talk! He just wants a foot in the corridors of power! Proper house nigga.” At the same time, #Toocrazzyyyy quipped, “He no go still see pass 14 votes,” referencing Chief Priest’s reported low vote count in a previous APC primary.
nSome reactions were more critical of the broader implications. #beet_kon posted, “Always trying to feel relevant in politics,” while #JosephGold09 remarked, “This man is the saddest rich man in the country. Money dey, but purpose no dey. Just dey do like poor man.”
nCubana Chief Priest, who rose to prominence through his hospitality business and lavish lifestyle often encapsulated in his catchphrase “Money Na Water,” has not issued an official statement on the latest video as of press time. He has in the past defended his ostentatious displays as symbols of abundance rather than vanity.
nThe socialite’s political foray has previously drawn attention, including his participation in APC activities and claims of receiving compensation after a primary loss. His latest move is expected to fuel further discussions on wealth, politics, and public perception in the lead-up to 2027.
