University of Ilorin reveals schedule for 2026 undergraduate admission exams

The University of Ilorin's 2026/2027 Pre-Admission Screening exercise, also known as the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, is set to take place from August 13 to August 15, 2026, as announced by the institution.

This development was made public through a statement issued on Friday by Kunle Akogun, the university's Director of Corporate Affairs.

According to the statement, AbdulKareem Kunle Sanni, the University's Admissions Officer, has instructed candidates who have completed their screening registration to start printing their examination slips from Monday, August 10.

As quoted by Akogun, Sanni emphasized that candidates should begin printing their scheduled examination slips from Monday, August 10, 2026, once they have completed their screening application.

The university has also reminded prospective candidates that the registration portal for both UTME and Direct Entry applicants will close on Sunday, August 9.

The statement clearly indicated that the portal for screening registration will officially shut down on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Candidates are advised not to delay in printing their examination slips as soon as they become available to avoid any last-minute hassles.

The statement further urged candidates to print their examination slips promptly once available, in order to verify their scheduled test dates and times.

The institution has scheduled the Post-UTME screening tests to take place from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The key dates for the admission exercise are as follows: the registration deadline for UTME and Direct Entry candidates is Sunday, August 9, 2026, printing of scheduled examination slips begins on Monday, August 10, 2026, and the Post-UTME screening exercise will be held from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The university has advised applicants to ensure they complete all admission processes within the stipulated deadlines through its official admissions portal.

Prior to this, the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, took place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.
