Tonto Dikeh launches fresh spiritual endeavour

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, on Sunday unveiled a new spiritual movement, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle.

Announcing the development via a post on her Instagram page, Dikeh described NWPT as an interdenominational altar and “global movement of consecrated believers called to experience the raw power, purity, and presence of God,” anchored on the biblical passage in Mark 2:22, which reads, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”

It read in part, “NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation.”

Outlining its vision, the statement said the movement aims “to see a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God transforming nations and establishing the Kingdom of Christ on Earth.”

On its mission, it stated that NWPT exists “to build an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training that equips watchmen, activates spiritual gifts, drives relentless soul winning, and delivers total freedom to the captive through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The post further distinguished the gathering from a conventional church, stating, “This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God. A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.”

According to the announcement, NWPT holds weekly fellowship every Friday by 6:00pm.

Sunday’s announcement is coming months after the actress began signing many of her posts as “Ada El-Roi” and became active in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD community, amid widely reported changes to her dressing and public lifestyle.

PUNCHONLINE reports that in December 2025, Dikeh had shared a public testimony describing her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues during a service at Streams of Joy International Church, telling the congregation that she started smoking at age 13 and that God had healed her of the other struggles.

The actress, who ventured into politics in 2022 as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, had earlier in 2026 reflected on her turbulent marriage to her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, ten years after their public separation, months before the pair reconciled publicly, ending their long-running feud.
