Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State credits President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms for enabling states to undertake significant development projects while fulfilling salary and pension commitments without relying on loans, a feat made possible by prudent resource management.

This assertion was made by Radda on Sunday during the Tinubu/Dikko Assured 2027 Islamiyya Teachers’ Empowerment, where he inaugurated 45 solar-powered streetlights in the state, exemplifying his administration's commitment to progress.

Radda's administration has successfully executed projects valued at over N30 billion without incurring debt, a testament to responsible governance and judicious financial planning, with the governor emphasizing that no sector in Katsina State currently relies on loans for project execution.

The governor highlighted the stark contrast between the current situation and the past, when the state was heavily dependent on borrowing to pay workers' salaries, underscoring the significance of the reforms in ensuring timely payment of pensions and meeting obligations to the people of Katsina.

Radda stressed that leadership should be evaluated based on tangible performance and measurable outcomes, rather than political rhetoric or negative narratives, emphasizing the importance of trust and fulfillment of promises in leadership.

According to Radda, President Tinubu's reforms, including local government financial autonomy, have been instrumental in enabling states to deliver projects, pay salaries, and pensions as scheduled, thereby fostering development and growth.

Radda commended the TDA initiative for its focus on grassroots development, particularly its empowerment of Islamiyya teachers, and announced a personal donation of N10,000 to each of the 690 beneficiaries, urging citizens, organizations, and philanthropists to support government efforts.

Radda cautioned citizens against allowing misinformation to undermine genuine development efforts and challenged political aspirants to present concrete plans for addressing the challenges facing the people, emphasizing the need for constructive engagement.

Former Governor Aminu Masari noted that political leaders have a responsibility to prioritize the welfare and development of the people, stating that anyone who refuses to acknowledge the achievements of President Tinubu and Radda is being hypocritical.

Masari cited major Federal Government infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and other strategic road projects, as evidence of the government's commitment to stimulating economic activities, creating opportunities, and supporting agricultural development.

Masari also commended the improvements on the Kaduna-Abuja Road, describing it as a testament to the impact of effective leadership, which has significantly enhanced the state's infrastructure and facilitated growth.

Umar Zayyad, Director-General of TAD, said the organization has expanded its programs to support teachers and beneficiaries of Islamiyya schools, inspired by Tinubu's leadership and the president's expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Radda-led administration during his visit to the state.
