Tinubu arrives back in Abuja following Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and a trip to the United Kingdom

President Bola Tinubu has made his way back to Abuja, bringing an end to his time in Lagos where he observed the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, following a state visit to the United Kingdom that had taken place prior to his return to Nigeria.
nA statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, disclosed this information, providing details about the President's movements.
nAccording to the spokesperson, President Tinubu's departure from Lagos occurred on Wednesday, as he headed to Abuja after having marked Eid-el-Fitri, an event that took place after his historic state visit to the United Kingdom.
nThe statement also specified that the President's plane took off from the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport at 6:44 pm, providing a precise timeline for his departure.
nUpon his return to Nigeria from the UK in the early hours of Friday, President Tinubu had participated in Eid-el-Fitr prayers at Dodan Barracks, before proceeding with his schedule in Lagos.
nDuring his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu engaged in a series of high-level meetings, including one with 23 governors, among them Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, as well as separate meetings with business mogul Aliko Dangote and an EU delegation.
nThe President also met with members of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, as part of his busy schedule while in Lagos.
nVice President Kashim Shettima paid a visit to the President in Lagos, briefing him on his recent trip to Borno State, which followed a suicide bombing incident in the area.
nNotable figures present at the President's departure from Lagos included Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, former Ogun State Governor Olusegun Osoba, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, alongside other senior government officials and party leaders.
