Stakeholders endorse Tinubu, Eno, cite people-driven leadership

Political stakeholders in the Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have endorsed the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the State Governor, Umo Eno, and Senator Ekong Sampson representing Eket Senatorial District, citing people-driven leadership as reasons for their action.

Also endorsed for second term are the member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency, Uduak Odudoh and that of Mkpat Enin State Constituency, Uwem Imoh-Ita.

The endorsement was perfected at a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Chairman of Mkpat Enin LGA, Emmanuel Inyang, on Tuesday.

The meeting was held at Mkpat Enin Unity Hall, where the chairman explained that the endorsement aligned with the direction of the state APC leadership and the desire of the people for continuity in governance and development.

He said, “We are gathered for the re-election of our President, Bola Tinubu, our governor, Umo Eno and senator representing Akwa Ibom South (Eket Senatorial District) Senator Ekong Sampson, and member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency, Hon. Uduak Odudoh, and that of Mkpat Enin State Constituency, Hon. Uwem Imoh-Ita.

“Their people-driven leadership has positively impacted the lives of our people. Their endorsement align with the direction of the state APC leadership and the desire of the people for continuity in governance and development,” he said.

Also speaking, state Party Officer of All Progressives Congress, and the immediate past chapter chairman of the party, Utitofon Jeremiah, urged all interest groups and potential aspirants to close ranks and align with the position of the party leadership, describing it as a test of loyalty and commitment to the party.
