Seaman's strengthens community ties through new collaboration with Iwe Ala

Following its impressive showcase at the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, Seaman's Schnapps has further solidified its commitment to cultural engagement by becoming the Official Cultural Partner of the film Iwe Ala, also known as The Book of Dreams.
nThe partnership was commemorated with a highly attended film premiere, which paved the way for a nationwide cinema release, bringing together an array of individuals including filmmakers, cultural stakeholders, traditional rulers, and members of the public to celebrate Yoruba identity, history, and values.
nA notable moment during the premiere was the ceremonial opening, which was performed by Oba Maroof Alagbe, the Elegushi of Egushi Otta, who offered traditional prayers for the film's success using Seaman's Schnapps 75cl.
nDirected by Adeoluwa Owu, Iwe Ala is set against the backdrop of the Ojude Oba festival and delves into themes of family, identity, legacy, and betrayal, as it tells the story of a tailoring dynasty navigating internal conflict while protecting its reputation ahead of a major cultural celebration.
nThe movie features a talented cast, including Mercy Aigbe, Owobo Ogunde, Dele Odule, Demola Adedoyin, Tobi Makinde, Eniola Ajao, Aishat Isiaka, Tolu Otebiyi, and Farooq Oreagba, and has garnered attention for its captivating storytelling and visual representation of Yoruba culture.
nMarketing Manager at Nigerian Distilleries Limited, Gbemileke Lawal, discussed the collaboration, stating that it reflects the brand's belief in the power of cultural storytelling to preserve identity, and emphasized that culture is a vital asset that shapes who we are and guides our path.
