Sanwo-Olu’s CoS rallies support for Tinubu, Hamzat in Italy

The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tayo Ayinde, has called on members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors-Diaspora to intensify their mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

Ayinde made the call while delivering the keynote speech at the inauguration of the European Chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors-Diaspora in Naples, Italy on Sundaay.

This was contained in a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Monday, which said the event brought together leaders and members of the organisation from different parts of Europe.

In his speech, Ayinde thanked the leaders, members and guests who travelled to Naples for the inauguration, appreciating their time, effort and commitment to the success of the event.

He urged members of the organisation to take their mobilisation activities more seriously and reach more Nigerians with information about the policies, programmes and achievements of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government.

According to him, members of the organisation had an important role to play in communicating the administration’s agenda to Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.

He said, “We have a responsibility to communicate the achievements and vision of the APC-led administration to Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora.”

Ayinde urged members to ensure that their mobilisation efforts went beyond political gatherings by engaging Nigerians and providing information about the administration’s policies.

He said members should explain the economic reforms being introduced by President Bola Tinubu and the infrastructure projects being undertaken by the Federal Government.

The Lagos Chief of Staff urged members to approach their engagements with Nigerians respectfully and clearly.

“Engage people respectfully, explain the issues clearly and ensure that Nigerians understand the direction of the country and the reasons behind the ongoing reforms,” he said.

He further encouraged the European chapter to expand its reach and intensify its engagement with Nigerians living outside the country.

Ayinde also called on members of the organisation to support the campaign of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

He said the group should work towards mobilising support for both Tinubu at the federal level and Hamzat in Lagos State.

“We must work towards securing support for President Tinubu at the federal level and Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 elections,” Ayinde said.

Speaking on the future of Nigeria, Ayinde expressed optimism about the country’s prospects, saying he believed the future remained bright if the current reform efforts were sustained.

“I believe the future of Nigeria is bright if we sustain the current reform efforts,” he said.

He urged members to remain committed to the Renewed Hope vision and continue working together ahead of the 2027 elections.
