Prominent religious leader calls on Oyebanji to form broad-based administration following Ekiti poll rerun

On Monday, Sam Alo, a respected cleric, extended his congratulations to Governor Abiodun Oyebanji on his re-election as the Governor of Ekiti State, and also advised him to adopt an all-encompassing approach to governance in the state.

A statement issued by Deji Ogunbusuyi, the cleric's Personal Assistant, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, further emphasized the need for Oyebanji to engage with all stakeholders, political groups, and communities to drive development and progress in the state.

The cleric commended President Bola Tinubu for fostering a peaceful environment that allowed the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a smooth governorship election in the state.

According to reports, Oyebanji emerged victorious in the gubernatorial election held in Ekiti State on Saturday, defeating candidates from approximately 13 registered political parties and making history as the first sitting governor to win re-election in the state.

In a statement on Monday, Alo expressed his congratulations to Governor Abiodun Oyebanji on his re-election, while also urging him to establish an inclusive government that caters to the needs of all stakeholders, political groups, and communities in the state.

Alo advised Oyebanji to build upon the accomplishments that earned him the people's trust and mandate once again, emphasizing the importance of focusing on infrastructure, agriculture, and welfare programs for the next four years.
