Police Inspector-General reshuffles Assistant Inspectors-General and Commissioners

The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has initiated a major reshuffle within the Nigeria Police Force, posting senior officers to key positions to bolster operational efficiency and improve service delivery across the country.

This move, as outlined in a statement by Force spokesman DCP Anthony Placid on Tuesday, aims to reinforce the police's commitment to a robust command structure and strategic personnel deployment across various commands, formations, and departments.

AIG Ado Emmanuel has been assigned to the Research and Planning department at Force Headquarters in Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo will oversee the Department of Armament, and AIG Miller Dantawaye will take charge of the Department of Operations.

AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche has been posted to the Department of Training and Development, and AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo will handle Police Accounts and Budget, with AIG Dahiru Mohammed being deployed to Zone 15 in Maiduguri.

Other senior officers, including AIG Dankombo F. Morris, AIG Bello Shehu, and AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, have been posted to various zones and departments, such as Zone 4 in Makurdi, Zone 14 in Katsina, and the Department of Legal Services.

AIG Ahmed Musa will focus on Community Policing, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh will oversee Zone 2 in Lagos, and AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom will be stationed at the FCID Annex in Lagos.

AIG Haruna Olufemi has been assigned to the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters in Abuja, as part of the extensive redeployment of senior officers to various commands and formations.

Several Commissioners of Police, including CP Haruna Yahaya, CP Betty Otimenyin, and CP Olugbenga Abimbola, have been posted to state commands and other formations, such as Jigawa State Command, Welfare at Force Headquarters, and Oyo State Command.

CP Yemi John Oyeniyi will take charge of Delta State Command, CP Olubode Ojajuni will oversee Ogun State Command, and CP Michael Falade will be posted to Ekiti State Command, while CP Yakubu Dankaro will head Adamawa State Command.

Other Commissioners of Police, including CP Muhammed Ahmed, CP Olatunji Fatai, and CP Morkwap Dongshal, have been deployed to commands in the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos State, and Taraba State.

CP Ahmed Bello will head Zamfara State Command, CP Umar Fagge will oversee Katsina State Command, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan will be posted to Sokoto State Command, as part of the extensive reshuffle.

Further postings include CP Akan Ezima as Director of NPF-NCCC in Abuja, CP Abbas Sule to the Special Protection Unit, and CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to INTERPOL in Abuja.

CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus will serve as Deputy Commandant of POLAC, CP Danjuma I. Yahaya will handle General Investigation at FCID Annex in Kaduna, and CP Sheikh M. Danko will be stationed at FCID Annex in Lagos.

CP Moses Ashu Otta has been assigned to SWAT in Abuja, while CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu will oversee the Eastern Ports Authority, and CP Sarah Ehindero will handle Administration at FCID Abuja.

Additional redeployments include CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha as Provost at Force Headquarters, CP Preye R. Egbe to INEC in Abuja, and CP Adebisi Bola Lateef to Master Printing in Lagos.

CP Bolou O. Etete will focus on Community Policing, Research and Planning, and CP Ojugbele E. Adebola will handle General Investigation at FCID Alagbon in Lagos.

Other affected officers include CP Fidelis N. Ogarabe, posted to INTERPOL Annex in Lagos, and CP Theodore C. Obasi, who will serve as Deputy Commandant of the Police College in Ikeja.

CP Eloho E. Okpoziakpo will oversee the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, CP Kayode Uthman Magaji will handle K9 in Dei-Dei, and CP Markus Ishaku Basiran will be responsible for Courses at POLAC.

CP Mohammed Babakura will handle Administration in the Department of Operations, CP Silas Bamidele Aremu will focus on Safer Highway in the Department of Operations, and CP Magaji Ismaila will oversee Community Safety and Crime Prevention.

CP Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been appointed as Director of Music at Force Headquarters in Abuja, as part of the extensive redeployment of senior officers.
