Peter Obi pays tribute to deceased Edo chapter secretary of Obidient coalition

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is grieving the loss of Comrade Benedict Inaede, a member of the Obidient Movement from Edo State, whose passing has left a void in the movement.
nInaede's death was described by Obi as a painful and irreparable loss to the Obidient family in a post he made on X on Friday, where he expressed his deep sorrow over the news.
nObi's message conveyed his condolences to Inaede's family on behalf of himself and the entire Obidient Movement, acknowledging the significant impact of his passing.
nHe wrote, "I have just received the sad news of the death of one of our Obidient family members from Edo State, Comrade Benedict Inaede," and went on to offer words of comfort to those affected by the loss.
nOn behalf of his family and the Obidient Movement, Obi extended sincere condolences to Inaede's immediate family and the entire Obidient family, recognizing the profound loss they had suffered.
nObi prayed for the eternal rest of Inaede's soul and for the strength of his family and the movement to cope with the loss, seeking divine comfort in their time of grief.
nHe said, "May Almighty God, who has called him home, grant him eternal rest and grant his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this profound loss," and asked for continued blessings for the family.
nObi also expressed his desire for the family to be remembered in prayers, saying, "May we continue to remember his family in prayers for God Almighty's continued blessings."
nInaede had played a key role in the Obidient Movement, serving as the Edo State Secretary and being involved in various state-level activities, including issuing public statements on behalf of the movement's executive.
nHowever, the circumstances surrounding Inaede's death were not disclosed by Obi in his statement, leaving the details of his passing unclear.
nThe Obidient Movement, a grassroots support base that emerged during Obi's 2023 presidential campaign, has continued to be active in his political activities, with Inaede being an integral part of it.
