Oyo Speaker hails Adebutu’s investment in food production, employment generation

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has lauded the massive investment of Oladipupo Adebutu in agriculture.

He said it has not only helped address the hunger crisis in the country but has also produced jobs for hundreds of people and raw materials for industrial use.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Saturday, Ogundoyin gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to Adebutu’s Solomon Kesington Agro Allied Limited, a multi-billion-naira farm at Iperu Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The speaker said, “I am sincerely amazed at this quantum of investment in agricultural drive. It only shows that someone is thinking in the right direction and doing what should be done to boost food production, create wealth and tackle poverty.

“Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, with this highly inspiring investment, is no doubt taking a giant step to boost the economy not only in Ogun State but across the country.

“This is surely the way to go to develop our country and cut down unemployment, hunger and poverty. Our prayer is that this establishment will continue to wax stronger year in, year out.”

He also acknowledged the environmental friendliness of the farm and the commitment of the workers, urging them to remain committed to giving their very best and ensure the continuous growth of the multi-billion-naira farm.

Ogundoyin and his entourage were later taken on a facility tour by Adebutu, covering the processing plant, pig pens housing over 30,000 pigs, a ranch with cow barns housing over 3,000 cattle and other animal pens.

The Speaker and his entourage commended Adebutu for his dedication and efforts at sustaining the farm to meet international standards.

Also in the Speaker’s entourage were Prof. Abraham Osinubi and Dr. Aliu Soyingbe, Dean and Sub-Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, respectively.
