Oyebamiji victory non-negotiable – Barau’s aide

Ibraheem Alli, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has rallied support for the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, declaring that the party’s victory in the August 15 governorship election is “non-negotiable.”

Alli made the declaration on Monday during an empowerment programme for over 100 akara sellers in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state.

The beneficiaries, drawn from Ileogbo, Oluponna, Kuta and Oke Osun communities, received N10,000 each at the event held at the Ayedire Local Government Secretariat.

The programme was attended by APC leaders in the area, including the Chairman of Ayedire Local Government, Adejare Adigun, who joined Alli in presenting the cash gifts to the beneficiaries.

Alli said Osun should align politically with the APC-controlled Federal Government and local councils.

‎”We have the Federal Government and the local governments. The middle tier must also come under APC control for the people to enjoy the full benefits of governance.

“By God’s grace, AMBO’s victory is non-negotiable,” he added.

‎Expressing confidence in the APC’s chances, Alli said, “The political atmosphere in Osun is favourable. I can see the signs of victory for our party. We are not just seeking victory but a landslide margin that Osun has never witnessed.”

‎Explaining the rationale behind the programme, Alli said the initiative was aimed at strengthening the financial capacity of small-scale traders while mobilising support for the APC governorship candidate ahead of the election.

‎”I chose to empower akara sellers across Ayedire Local Government to support their businesses, canvass more votes for the APC candidate in the August 15 governorship election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, and demonstrate that politics should improve the lives of the people through philanthropy,” he said.

‎Commending the initiative, Adigun praised the organiser for supporting petty traders across the local government without political discrimination and urged the beneficiaries to use the money to expand their businesses.
