Otti will not challenge Tinubu's attempt to seek re-election, according to a legislator from Abia.

According to Ginger Onwusibe, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, Abia State Governor Alex Otti will not oppose President Bola Tinubu's bid for a second term in office. Onwusibe made this statement on Sunday during the launch of "Project Switch On Bende" in Lohum Umuimenyi, Bende Local Government Area, an initiative facilitated by Chief Frank Chinasa, the Abia State Chief Liaison Officer in Abuja.

Onwusibe expressed his personal opinion, stating that both Tinubu and Otti have earned a second term based on their performance, and that Otti has the capacity to deliver Tinubu's re-election bid in Abia State. He noted that as someone who started his political career in 1999, he can confidently say that Otti has outperformed previous governors, including Orji Uzor Kalu, T.A. Orji, and Okezie Ikpeazu.

Onwusibe, a Labour Party chieftain, commended Chinasa for attracting the solar lighting project to the area, and expressed his willingness to do more if elected to a representative position. He praised Chinasa's efforts, which have brought significant development to the community.

Chinasa explained that the project aims to restore public confidence in governance and improve security in the area by creating safer streets and enabling traders to extend their business hours. He noted that 486 solar-powered street lights have been installed across Uzuakoli and Umuimenyi Ward in just a few months.

The initiative, according to Chinasa, is not just about installing solar street lights, but about restoring confidence in governance, creating safer streets, and giving communities a renewed sense of belonging and pride. He emphasized that the project's mission is to ensure every ward, community, and street in Bende Federal Constituency feels the impact of light.

Chinasa highlighted the importance of light in bringing security, opportunity, and life to communities, and noted that the initiative aligns with Governor Alex Otti's developmental vision for Abia State. He expressed his commitment to continuing to work towards transforming the state and improving the lives of its people.

The project was facilitated with the support of the Niger Delta Development Commission under its "Operation Light Up the Niger Delta" programme, and Chinasa urged residents and community leaders to take ownership of the facilities and protect them. He emphasized the need for community involvement in maintaining the project's success.

Uwabunkeonye Bassey, the Mayor of Bende Local Government Area, and Johnson Chukwu, the chairman of the occasion, commended Chinasa for facilitating the project and bringing development to the area. Chukwu praised Chinasa's ability to touch lives and make a positive impact on the community.

Chukwu, who claimed not to be a politician, stated that what matters is not the amount of money one has, but the number of lives one is able to touch, and that Chinasa has earned the respect of the people.
