#OsunDecides2026: Disabled voter commends election staff for special assistance and expedited service

A physically challenged voter, Aminat Akinsola, has commended election officials at her polling unit in Ejigbo, Osun State, for making the voting process easier for her during Saturday’s governorship election.
nAkinsola cast her ballot at Polling Unit 6, Ward 4, where she said officials took her condition into consideration during the accreditation and voting process.
nAccording to her, the arrangement allowed her to participate in the election without facing the difficulties that could come with waiting in line with other voters, as reported by Tribune.
n“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” Akinsola said.
nShe also expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election at the polling unit, particularly the peaceful atmosphere maintained as voters arrived to exercise their franchise.
nAkinsola said she hoped the eventual result of the election would represent the choice of the people of the state.
nMeanwhile, security personnel were deployed around the polling unit to maintain order and ensure a smooth voting process.
nThe security operatives also helped coordinate the movement of voters as the exercise progressed.
nIn another arrangement at the polling unit, young voters were grouped according to gender as part of measures to manage the crowd and prevent disorder.
nThe development came as voters across the state turned out to elect the next governor of Osun State.
