Osun should not revert to period of partial wage payments, Adeleke insists

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State and Accord Party governorship candidate, has made a passionate plea to residents to reject the All Progressives Congress in the upcoming August 15 governorship election, citing the party's alleged neglect of civil servants during its tenure.

In a social media post on Thursday, Adeleke claimed that the APC administration had subjected workers in the state to immense hardship, and he urged eligible voters to back his re-election bid to prevent a return to those difficult times.

Adeleke's post emphasized the need for voters to remember the struggles of civil servants under the APC, saying, "We will not allow APC to take Osun back to the days when civil servants had to beg their neighbours for food.

He further appealed to the people of Osun State to prepare for the election, stating, "I call on the good people of Osun State to brace up for just a few more days.

Adeleke criticized the APC, saying, "Those who once weaponised poverty by paying workers half salaries, leaving civil servants to struggle to feed their families, and denying our people access to basic necessities are desperate to return to inflict more pain.

He urged voters to prevent a return to the past, saying, "We must never go back to those dark days.

On the upcoming election, Adeleke said, "On August 15, I urge every eligible voter to send a clear and resounding message that Osun has chosen the path of progress, compassion, and good governance.

In a separate post, Adeleke highlighted his administration's commitment to workers' welfare, saying, "Since I became governor, I have made the welfare of our workers and the people of Osun State a top priority.

Adeleke expressed confidence that the people of Osun State would not forget the APC's record, saying, "I am confident that the unjust freezing of state accounts will only strengthen the resolve of our people to do everything necessary to ensure Osun never returns to the era of darkness.

He presented voters with a clear choice, saying, "The choice is clear: progress over regression, good governance over neglect, Accord over APC.

The Osun governorship election is scheduled to take place on August 15, with Adeleke seeking re-election under the Accord Party platform.
