Osun Election Update: Aregbesola's Polling Station Falls to Ruling Party, Opposition Accord Party Claims Victory in PDP Treasurer's Voting District

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, lost his Ifofin Ward 8, Unit 1, in Ilesa East Local Government Area to the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s Osun governorship election.
nThe PUNCH reports that Aregbesola voted at the unit in the afternoon on Saturday in an election that was largely peaceful and witnessed a large turnout of voters.
nIn the result obtained by our correspondent, the APC polled 256 votes, while the ADC scored 13 votes.
nThe ruling party in the state, Accord, got 43 votes.
nAt Ward 1, Unit 2, Ibokun NUD Primary School, Obokun Local Government Area, where the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party, Diran Odeyemi, voted, the Accord Party polled 211 votes, while the APC got 178 votes.
nAs of the time of filing this report, collation of results was ongoing across the state.
