Osun chief mourns Ooni’s elder brother

The Yeye Bobajiro Oduduwa, Chief Afolashade Shona-Aluko, has condoled with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, over the death of his immediate elder brother, Adetunji Ogunwusi.
nShona-Aluko, in a condolence message to the monarch obtained by Saturday PUNCH on Friday, described the death of the prince as a profound loss to the Ogunwusi Royal Family, the Ojaja Royal Dynasty and the people of Ile-Ife.
nShe described the deceased as an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist and distinguished gentleman whose humility, generosity and commitment to humanity earned him admiration across different walks of life.
nAccording to her, the tributes that have continued to pour in since the prince’s death showed the impact he made during his lifetime and the number of lives he touched through his kindness and service to humanity.
n“As one who has been greatly honoured by Your Imperial Majesty, I share in the grief of the royal family at this difficult moment. I pray that the Almighty grants Your Majesty the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and comforts every member of the Ogunwusi family,” she said.
nShe said although the death of the prince was painful, his legacy of integrity, selfless service and dedication to his family and society would continue to inspire generations.
nThe Yeye Bobajiro Oduduwa also prayed for the peaceful repose of Prince Adetunji’s soul and for God to grant the Ooni and members of the Ogunwusi family the strength to bear the loss.
nShona-Aluko reaffirmed her solidarity with the monarch and the people of Ile-Ife during the period of mourning, expressing confidence that the late prince’s cherished memories and enduring legacy would remain a source of strength and inspiration to the royal family and those who knew him.
