Osimhen keen to make comeback and boost Galatasaray's championship bid

Victor Osimhen, the Galatasaray striker currently on the mend from arm surgery, is raring to rejoin his teammates and has assured the club's president that they will claim their 26th Super Lig title by the season's end.
nOsimhen underwent a surgical procedure on Monday at Istanbul's Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, a consequence of an injury sustained during the UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool FC at Anfield the previous week.
nThe surgery was deemed successful by the club, who are closely monitoring the player's recovery, and Osimhen was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
nReports suggest that the 27-year-old striker will likely be sidelined for approximately six weeks, which could result in him missing up to six league and cup matches.
nHowever, Turkish media outlets speculate that Osimhen may return to action as early as the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26, contingent upon the progress of his rehabilitation.
nThis derby match could potentially be a decisive factor in the title race, given that Galatasaray currently holds a four-point lead in the standings with a game in hand.
nOsimhen is optimistic about contributing to the team's title aspirations upon his return to the pitch.
nIn a statement to club president Dursun Özbek following his surgery, Osimhen expressed his confidence, saying, "We will be champions, my president!", as reported by Forza Combom.
nIf Osimhen's recovery takes longer than anticipated, he may only participate in the final two league matches, against Antalyaspor at home and Kasımpaşa away.
nHe will also be hoping that the club advances to the Turkish Cup final, where they are currently in the quarter-finals, facing off against Gençlerbirliği.
nOsimhen has had a notable season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions, thereby helping Galatasaray maintain a four-point lead in the league.
nHe also made a significant impact in the UEFA Champions League, recording seven goals and three assists in 10 matches before the team's exit from the competition.
