Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa Appoints Head of State's Civil Service

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has given his seal of approval for the appointment of Dr. Mann Ali as the Chairman of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission, a move that fills a key vacancy in the state's administrative structure.

Additionally, the governor has approved the appointment of Mr. Michael Oshodi as a member of the commission, as announced by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, in a statement posted on X on Thursday.

The newly appointed duo, comprising former permanent secretaries in the Ondo State Public Service, will be taking over from the outgoing chairman, Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, and another commission member whose five-year tenure came to an end in June 2026.

The statement from the governor's office formally announced the appointments, quoting the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as having approved the appointment of Dr. Mann Ali as the Chairman of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission.

The same statement also confirmed the appointment of Mr. Michael Oshodi as a member of the Commission, highlighting the intent to fill the vacancies created by the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing officials.

The appointments of the two former permanent secretaries are aimed at replacing Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu and another member whose five-year tenure ended in June 2026, according to the statement from the governor's office.

However, the appointments are still subject to confirmation, as the statement noted that the new appointments are pending a resolution of the State House of Assembly, which will ultimately finalize the process.
