Olubadan Set to Collaborate with California University on Improving Oyo's Medical Services Network

Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, voiced his willingness to collaborate with the University of California, Los Angeles, Sadiat Toyin Lawal Foundation, and Tabernacle Worship and Prayer Ministry, California, to enhance healthcare delivery in Ibadanland, during a meeting at his palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
nThe monarch underscored the importance of his people's health, stating that he would spare no effort in ensuring the provision and promotion of healthy living for residents of the ancient city, as he believes that health is wealth.
nOba Ladoja explicitly expressed his readiness to partner with the three non-governmental organisations on the Healthcare Delivery System in Ibadanland, aiming to improve the overall well-being of his people.
nA meeting between the visiting team and officials of the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, led by its Executive Secretary, Muideen Olatunji, was facilitated by Oba Ladoja to ensure effective collaboration and seamless partnership.
nToyin Lawal, the leader of the outreach team, revealed that their visit was intended to seek collaboration with the Olubadan on community health partnerships and outreach for primary health care centres, tertiary hospitals, and local governments, with plans to donate medical equipment and resources to improve healthcare delivery.
nLawal also disclosed that a proposal had been submitted to the palace, focusing on health advocacy, education, and sensitisation, as part of their commitment to enhancing healthcare in Ibadanland.
nDignitaries in attendance at the meeting included prominent figures such as the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, and the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Kolawole Adewole.
nOther notable dignitaries present included the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Amidu Ajibade, Ekerin Olubadan, Oba Adebayo Akande, and Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Mobolaji Adewoyin.
