Nollywood's Ricardo Agbor reveals he became a father to twins after nearly two decades of waiting

Ricardo Agbor, a veteran Nollywood actor, has shared his remarkable 18-year journey to becoming a father, revealing that he and his wife had to wait almost two decades for the arrival of their twins.

During an interview with AfricanAList, published on Sunday, Agbor reflected on his marriage, faith, and the challenges he faced on his path to parenthood, stating that he remained devoted to his wife throughout the long wait.

Agbor noted that his marriage was not without its unique circumstances, as he married a woman from a different tribe, which could have potentially led to strife, but instead, their relationship remained fair and strong.

The actor disclosed that he had specifically prayed for twins and refused to give up, even after waiting for 18 years, and his prayers were eventually answered with the birth of a boy and a girl, now 14 years old.

Agbor also opened up about the most painful experience of his life, which was the loss of his mother, who had been undergoing treatment for about three weeks without any improvement before her condition took a turn for the worse.

According to Agbor, his mother's doctors had advised that she be flown to South Africa for further medical care, but she requested to be moved to a different private hospital in Surulere, where she ultimately passed away in his arms as he was helping her into the car.

Agbor recounted the emotional moment, saying that his mother's condition had not improved after almost three weeks of treatment, and it was she who had asked to be taken away from the hospital, only to pass away as he was carrying her into the car.

The loss of his mother had a profound impact on Agbor, leaving him devastated and causing him to cry for the first time outside of acting, as he normally only cries when playing a role in a movie.

Agbor described the experience as incredibly painful, saying that it was the first time he had cried in his life, and it was a moment that left a lasting impression on him.
