NIPR commends FRSC’s digital reforms, seeks stronger partnership

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has commended the Federal Road Safety Corps for transforming its operations through strategic reforms and extensive digitisation initiatives.

The commendation came during a courtesy visit by the NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr Ike Neliaku, to the FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, in Abuja.

Details of the visit are contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, and made available to journalists.

Leading the NIPR delegation, Neliaku described the Corps’ achievements as evidence of visionary leadership, innovation and unwavering commitment to excellence in public service.

He praised the FRSC’s digital transformation, noting that technological advancements had significantly improved operational efficiency, service delivery and institutional effectiveness.

According to him, the reforms have also strengthened public confidence while enhancing the Corps’ reputation as a modern and responsive government institution.

Neliaku applauded Mohammed for championing strategic initiatives that have repositioned the Corps and reinforced its capacity to deliver safer road transport services nationwide.

“The achievements recorded by the Corps clearly demonstrate visionary leadership, innovation and commitment to service excellence,” Neliaku said.

He added that sustained reforms had laid a solid foundation for stronger institutional performance and improved engagement with the public.

The NIPR president reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to supporting the FRSC through professional training, executive development and capacity-building programmes.

He said the partnership would strengthen the Corps’ transformation agenda while promoting professionalism, ethical standards and effective communication across all operational levels.

Responding, Mohammed expressed gratitude to the NIPR leadership for recognising the Corps’ progress and expressing confidence in its reform initiatives.

He said professionalism, continuous learning and strategic communication remained central to his administration’s vision of building a more responsive road safety institution.

The Corps Marshal described the proposed collaboration as a strategic investment in human capital and institutional development for the organisation.

He said the initiative would equip personnel with the knowledge, skills and ethical orientation required to address emerging challenges in public service effectively.

Mohammed noted that strengthening staff competencies would enhance operational excellence and ensure the Corps remained responsive to changing national and global expectations.

At the end of the meeting, both organisations agreed to establish a strategic framework for sustained collaboration on mutually beneficial initiatives.

The framework will prioritise staff training, professional certification, knowledge exchange and other programmes aimed at deepening institutional excellence and advancing effective public service delivery.
