Next Year: Key APC Allies Mobilize Backing for Tinubu, Radda in Katsina State

A pro-All Progressives Congress support group, the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center, has called for intensified grassroots mobilisation across Katsina State to secure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The call was made during the group’s stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday in Katsina, where members also highlighted what they described as the achievements of the Federal Government and the Katsina State Government in security, education, healthcare and infrastructure.

Speaking at the meeting, the Director-General of the Centre, Salisu Majigiri, said the organisation was committed to mobilising support for the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.

“The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center is determined to ensure an overwhelming victory for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umar Dikko Radda and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections,” he said.

Majigiri, who represents the Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, praised Tinubu for approving the establishment of four additional Nigerian Army divisions and the recruitment of 28,000 military personnel, describing the move as a major boost to national security.

“Three of the newly approved divisions are located in Northern Nigeria in Makurdi, Benue State; Ilorin, Kwara State; and Jalingo, Taraba State reflecting the administration’s commitment to improving security in the region.

“These and many other policies of the Tinubu administration demonstrate its commitment to the safety and well-being of the people of Northern Nigeria. The approval for the recruitment of 28,000 Army personnel is the largest military expansion in recent years,” he stated.

The group also commended the Federal Government for unveiling a $3.05 billion social protection and human capital development package, including the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus, the Solutions for Internally Displaced and Host Communities programme and the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) initiative.

On the state government’s performance, Majigiri applauded Governor Radda’s recent executive order aimed at tackling insecurity, saying the measures were already yielding positive results, particularly during the current farming season.

He also praised the governor for recruiting 2,158 additional teachers, bringing the total number employed under the administration to 9,481, and described the state’s education reforms as a model for other states.

“We call on all our members and supporters to work assiduously for the success of all APC candidates in Katsina State during the 2027 general elections,” he said.

The meeting, attended by representatives from the state’s 6,652 polling units, 361 wards and 34 local government areas, resolved to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of the APC ahead of the next general elections.

The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Center was established by former Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shehu Shema, to mobilise women and youths in support of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
