NDPHC endorses structural changes to enhance power distribution

Jennifer Adighije, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, stated that the company is focusing on enhancing corporate governance and operational efficiency to boost electricity supply nationwide.

This effort is part of a broader strategy to improve the company's overall performance, as Adighije welcomed two new executive directors to the management team, namely Patrick Obahiagbon and Chukwuma Umeoji.

Patrick Obahiagbon has been appointed as the Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial, while Chukwuma Umeoji will serve as the Executive Director, Corporate Services, bringing their expertise to the company's leadership.

According to Adighije, these appointments, made by President Bola Tinubu, demonstrate the company's commitment to reinforcing corporate governance, improving operational efficiency, and expanding electricity generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure across Nigeria.

Adighije noted that the appointments also reflect the Federal Government's determination to reposition the company for enhanced performance and drive reforms aimed at improving electricity supply nationwide.

In her welcome address to the new executive management team, Adighije expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for selecting individuals with proven expertise to help advance the company's vision.

She emphasized that the appointments mark a significant milestone in the company's transformation agenda, expected to strengthen strategic planning, corporate governance, commercial operations, stakeholder engagement, and institutional effectiveness.

Adighije stressed that strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration are crucial to delivering the company's strategic objectives, particularly as it works to increase power generation, expand transmission infrastructure, and reinforce distribution networks.

The experience and expertise of the newly appointed executive directors will complement the existing management team, enhancing the company's ability to deliver on its mandate in line with the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Agenda.
