Natasha Files Nomination Papers for PDP Senate Seat

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, formally initiated her re-election bid for 2027 by submitting her Peoples Democratic Party senatorial nomination forms in Abuja on Monday.

Accompanied by supporters and political associates, Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at the PDP national secretariat, turning heads in a distinctive wine and red outfit paired with her signature dark eyeglasses.

As she seeks a second term in the Senate, Akpoti-Uduaghan is anticipated to face formidable opposition from the ruling All Progressives Congress, with speculation surrounding former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello's potential interest in the seat.

Following the submission of her nomination forms, Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed her gratitude to her constituency and the PDP for their enduring support and trust in her leadership.

She reaffirmed her dedication to serving her people and upholding democratic values, stating, "I remain committed to the service of my people and the advancement of democratic values.

This journey is not about personal ambition alone, but about sustaining purposeful representation, youths and women empowerment and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every community," she emphasized.

Akpoti-Uduaghan's primary focus, she asserted, remains the development of Kogi Central through enhanced infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
