My Tasty Naija Food Festival Makes a Comeback

The My Tasty Naija Food Festival, which debuted in the United Kingdom in 2025, is poised to launch its second edition, with a significant expansion to Manchester, in addition to its existing presence in London, following a highly successful inaugural event.

This expansion is a deliberate move to bolster the festival's core mission of showcasing Nigerian food, culture, and community in the Diaspora, with events now scheduled to take place across both cities.

The London edition of the festival has been slated for Saturday, July 5, 2026, and will be held at Eutopia Warehouse, while the Manchester edition will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Nigerian House Manchester, as announced by the organisers.

Abass Tijani, also known as DJ Abass, the convener of the festival, highlighted that the event was conceived to promote Nigerian cuisine and cultural identity, with plans to extend its reach across the United Kingdom and beyond.

DJ Abass noted that the festival's accompanying YouTube show features Nigerian restaurants from London and other parts of the UK, with the ultimate goal of taking the festival experience to different cities annually, and eventually to Nigeria and other global locations.

This year's festival is anticipated to draw up to 3,000 attendees in London and 1,500 in Manchester, underscoring the increasing demand for Nigerian culinary experiences abroad.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of activities, including food exhibitions, live entertainment, cultural showcases, and networking opportunities, as well as the return of the My Tasty Naija Junior Chef Competition and Food Competition.
