Militant bomb attack claims lives of three officers in Zamfara state

The Zamfara State Government has been overcome with sorrow following the tragic loss of three police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria.

On Monday, three members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit of the Zamfara Police Command made the ultimate sacrifice while carrying out their duties, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.

Their lives were cut short by an Improvised Explosive Device planted by terrorist bandits along the Anka-Bagega road in the Anka Local Government Area of the state.

A high-ranking delegation from the state government, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada, attended the funeral prayers for the deceased officers.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, led the prayers at the Police Command Headquarters in Gusau, adhering to Islamic customs and traditions.

Nakwada conveyed the deepest sympathies of the state government and its people to the Inspector-General of Police, the Zamfara Police Command, the families of the deceased, and the entire police community.

He offered prayers to Allah, seeking eternal rest for the fallen officers and strength for their families to cope with the devastating loss.

The Secretary to the State Government also reaffirmed the state's commitment to providing ongoing support to the families of the deceased heroes.

Nakwada reiterated the government's determination to collaborate with security agencies to eradicate banditry and other forms of crime from the state.

The tragic incident has only strengthened the government's resolve, with Nakwada stating, "This tragic incident will not make us relent; it only emboldens us.

We will intensify our efforts, and victory is assured, In-Sha-Allah," he declared, underscoring the government's unwavering commitment to achieving its goal.
