Makinde makes fresh appointments in Oyo

The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission and former member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, Pastor Akin Alamu, as a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

The governor also appointed Elijah Kolawole Akanmu as Special Adviser on Housing as well as a Board Member, Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was named Special Adviser on Rural Development.

This was contained in a statement released by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Oyo State Governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, on Friday.

The statement said the letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, indicated additional appointments as follows: Yinka Oladoyinbo – Executive Assistant on Information and Orientation; Ronke Giwa‑Onafuwa – Senior Special Assistant on Information and Orientation; Dapo Falade – Senior Special Assistant on Information and Orientation and Seun Adelore – Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters.

Other appointees, according to the letter, were Hon. Gbenga Adewusi (former Chairman, Oyo State Sports Council) – Executive Assistant, Sports Commission; Ogundele Quadri – Special Assistant on Urban Development; Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP – Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism; and Mr. Ibrahim Abayomi – Executive Assistant, Works.

Makinde charged all newly appointed officials to carry out their duties with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.

The appointments take immediate effect.
