Legislator gives 10 buses and 150 motorbikes to support Adeleke's bid for another term

Mr. Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, has donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to support the re-election campaign of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

This donation was disclosed in a statement personally signed by Salam, a copy of which was obtained in Osogbo on Wednesday, and is aimed at providing logistics support to campaign coordinators in Ede Federal Constituency.

Salam, who chairs the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, presented the mobility equipment during the official launch of the Accord Party's campaign across the Federal constituency in Ede, Osun State.

The donated vehicles will be allocated to coordinators from 42 wards in the constituency, according to Salam, who explained that the intervention is intended to improve campaign logistics, enhance door-to-door voter engagement, and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.

The beneficiaries of the donation are ward-level coordinators responsible for driving local campaign activities, and Salam urged them to use the vehicles responsibly, while also expressing confidence that Adeleke would secure victory at the polls.

Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, elder sister to Governor Adeleke, commended the initiative and implored the recipients to deploy the vehicles effectively while observing safety during the campaign period.

Senator Lere Oyewumi, Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council and Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, said the donation reflects Salam's continued commitment to grassroots politics and party development, adding that public office should be leveraged to deliver tangible impact through representation and empowerment.

Prof. Wale Oladipupo, Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, charged the campaign committee members to intensify efforts toward electoral victory, expressing optimism about Adeleke's chances, as he inaugurated the campaign committee for Ede Federal Constituency.

The Federal Constituency campaign council is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, with local government chairmen and party stakeholders serving as members, and has officially commenced campaign activities since March 11.

Campaign activities towards the forthcoming Osun State governorship election have been ongoing since March 11, with various political parties fielding candidates engaging the electorate to get their support as the election draws nearer.

Beside Adeleke, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord, other candidates include Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress and Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, as well as 11 other political parties fielding candidates in the poll.
