Law enforcement to launch officer hiring evaluation process in Kebbi starting March 9

Nigeria's law enforcement agency has set March 9, 2026, as the commencement date for the physical and credentials screening of aspiring police constables in Kebbi State.

This exercise is slated to run until April 18, 2026, and will take place at the Police Headquarters in Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.

According to a statement released on Friday by Police Public Relations Officer Bashir Usman, applicants are advised to check their application status and print their invitation slips from the recruitment portal prior to the screening date.

Candidates are required to present themselves at the screening venue on the specific date and time indicated on their invitation slips, with several documents, including their guarantors’ form and application submission slip.

Applicants must also bring original copies of their National Identity Number printout or National Identity Management Commission card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of state or local government of origin.

Specialist applicants are expected to present relevant trade test certificates where applicable, and all candidates must submit their credentials in two separate white flat files, complete with recent passport photographs.

Additionally, applicants are required to dress in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings for the exercise.

Umar Hadejia, the Commissioner of Police in the state, has assured applicants of a secure and transparent screening process, and urged them to conduct themselves in an orderly manner throughout the exercise.

The command has also warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters, as the recruitment process is free of charge, and anyone found engaging in fraudulent activities will face arrest and prosecution.

Only candidates who have received official invitations will be attended to at the screening venue, according to the police.
