Law enforcement initiates search for suspects following fatal shooting of married pair in Kebbi

A massive manhunt has been initiated by the Nigeria Police Force to apprehend the unidentified perpetrators who brutally murdered a couple in Asarara village, situated in Kebbi State.
nBashir Usman, the spokesperson for the command, verified the incident on Saturday, revealing that an investigation was already underway to identify and apprehend those responsible for the heinous crime.
nAccording to Usman, the bodies of the victims have been transferred to a hospital in Birnin Kebbi, where they will undergo further examination and investigation to help uncover the identities of the assailants.
nUsman assured that security agencies are actively engaged in managing the situation, and he urged the local residents to remain calm and collaborate with the investigators to ensure a swift resolution.
nThe police are actively seeking assistance from the public, with Usman appealing to individuals to provide any relevant information that could aid in tracking down the perpetrators.
nLocal residents reported that the victims, identified as Muhammad Haruna and his wife Habiba Abubakar, were fatally attacked in their home at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
nA resident, who chose to remain anonymous, described the late Muhammad Haruna as a peaceful individual who coexisted harmoniously with everyone in the community, leaving many shocked and unable to pinpoint any potential dispute that may have led to the incident.
nThe tragic news drew a large number of sympathisers to the family compound as it spread rapidly throughout the village.
nMuhammad Haruna and Habiba Abubakar are survived by six children, comprising four boys and two girls.
