La Liga: Valverde denies Tchouameni clash ahead of El Clásico

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has dismissed growing speculation around the team, insisting that false reports are being exaggerated amid a difficult season for the Spanish giants.
nThe Uruguayan international, who is currently sidelined due to injury, said the club has come under intense media pressure as results and off-field issues continue to attract attention.
nValverde, reacting to circulating reports, strongly pushed back against what he described as misinformation.
n“Clearly, someone here is spreading rumours, and with a season without titles, where Real Madrid is always under scrutiny, everything gets blown out of proportion,” he said.
nAs reported by BBC Sport on Thursday, reports first emerged in the Spanish media on Wednesday that midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni had been involved in a heated verbal disagreement during training.
nIt was later confirmed by Valverde himself, and the situation is understood to have escalated on Thursday at Real’s training base.
nSources have told BBC Sport the argument continued after training and culminated in Valverde being taken to hospital with a head injury following a dressing room altercation.
nValverde later denied reports that the pair had physically fought, insisting the injury occurred after he “accidentally hit a table” during the confrontation.
nIn a lengthy statement released on Thursday evening, the midfielder said he suffered “a small cut on my forehead that required a routine visit to the hospital” and rejected suggestions either player had struck the other.
nValverde is expected to miss the upcoming El Clásico after suffering a concussion, ruling him out for an estimated 10 to 14 days.
nReal Madrid has yet to provide further public comment on the disciplinary matters, stating that updates will be released once internal procedures are completed.
