Kwankwaso expresses condolences over fatal car accident that claimed lives of former Bauchi deputy governor's kids

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress and former Kano State Governor, has offered his condolences to former Bauchi State Deputy Governor Baba Tela, following the death of his two children, Mustapha and Ummi, in a fatal road accident.

Kwankwaso expressed his sympathy in a statement posted on his verified X account on Monday, describing the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy that has caused profound shock and grief to the bereaved family, the Katagum Emirate, and the entire Bauchi State.

In his message, Kwankwaso extended his deepest condolences to Senator Baba Tela, saying he was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of his children, Mustapha and Ummi, in the fatal road crash.

The former governor noted that the tragedy has cast a heavy shadow of sorrow over the Katagum Emirate and the entire Bauchi State, and he prayed for the bereaved family and expressed sympathy with the Bauchi State Government and the people of the state.

Kwankwaso stated that his thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, the government, and the people of Bauchi State at this difficult time, as they mourn the loss of Mustapha and Ummi.

Mustapha and Ummi lost their lives in a road accident along the Bauchi–Azare Road on Saturday, while they were returning from Azare.

Following the tragedy, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his condolences to Tela, praying for the repose of the deceased and urging the bereaved family to take solace in the will of Allah.

Governor Mohammed also sympathised with other victims injured in the crash and prayed for their speedy recovery, as the state mourns the loss of the two young lives.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki also mourned the deceased, describing the incident as painful, and praying for Allah’s mercy upon them and for the family to be granted the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
