KWAM 1 stirs reactions with ‘unnecessary pregnancy’ song amid paternity allegation

Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has drawn attention on social media after a video showed him singing about “unnecessary pregnancy” during a stage performance, days after a woman publicly alleged that he abandoned her and their 12-year-old daughter.

PUNCH Online reports that the controversy followed a viral interview granted to Feel Right TV by Ogechi Eleana, who alleged that the singer refused to take responsibility for their daughter, Azeezat.

Eleana, a graduate of Lagos State University, claimed she worked as KWAM 1’s manicurist and pedicurist before their relationship developed.

According to her, they dated for more than seven years, during which she became pregnant with Azeezat.

She alleged that when she informed the Fuji singer about the pregnancy, he urged her to terminate it and promised to send money through one of his aides for the abortion.

Eleana, however, claimed the money never arrived.

She further alleged that after she decided to keep the pregnancy, the singer stopped communicating with her.

The woman said she later sought the intervention of the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who allegedly contacted KWAM 1 on her behalf while they were at a palace.

“When the girl was a year plus, I went to Kabiru Agbabiaka. He was alive then. We went to the palace and he called Wasiu on phone but he lied against me on the phone,” she said.

Eleana also claimed she later visited the singer’s late mother, who became emotional after seeing the child.

“His mother saw us, she looked at this baby and started tears. That was the first time I was seeing Wasiu Ayinde’s mother. She said, ‘I am still alive and I have given birth to myself.’ The girl took the face of the mother.”

Speaking during the same interview, Azeezat alleged that she last saw the Fuji star on July 30, 2025, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where he reportedly denied knowing them.

She appealed to the singer for financial support.

“I heard that my father is a billionaire, if not a trillionaire. I was told that he has money. He should help me. I am tired. Things are not working. Tell him to help me,” she said.

KWAM 1 sang during a performance at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams, in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

Although the performance came shortly after the allegations surfaced, KWAM 1 did not state that the song was directed at the woman or her claims.

While performing on stage, the Fuji musician told members of the audience, “On your phone, turn on Bluetooth. Go to TikTok, then go to Facebook.”

He then sang, “Anybody who has an unnecessary pregnancy is just like a giveaway.”

As the crowd reacted, he added, “These children, don’t kill me. Go and say it on TikTok.”

KWAM 1 did not directly address the paternity claim or respond specifically to Eleana’s allegations that he abandoned her and their daughter.
