Keyamo and Oyedele take steps to protect airlines from fluctuations in fuel costs

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has held constructive talks with Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, to alleviate the financial strain on domestic airlines caused by rising operational costs.

According to Tunde Moshood, Keyamo's Special Adviser On Media and Communications, the meeting in Abuja recognized the ongoing impact of fluctuating aviation fuel prices on airlines, affecting connectivity, passenger numbers, and economic output.

The ministers identified potential areas of cooperation, including aligning policies, providing fiscal support, and introducing innovative financing methods to assist operators, boost efficiency, and attract investment to the sector.

The statement from Keyamo's office highlighted the crucial role of aviation in driving economic growth, facilitating trade, promoting tourism, and integrating regions.
