Kebbi State Governor Submits Re-Election Bid to APC with Official Nomination Papers

Nasir Idris, the Governor of Kebbi State, has officially submitted his nomination form to the All Progressives Congress, marking his intention to run for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

The submission took place on Monday at the Sheraton Abuja Hotel, where Suleiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, received the form on behalf of the party.

Argungu praised Governor Idris' leadership, highlighting his accomplishments in infrastructure and human development, which have bolstered the party's confidence in Kebbi State.

Argungu stated, "The APC is proud to have a leader like you, and your impact on infrastructure and human development in Kebbi State is evident, making us confident in your ability to secure victory in 2027, which is a reality, not speculation.

In response, Kebbi State Deputy Governor Abubakar Umar-Tafida expressed gratitude to the party leadership for their support and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to ongoing development projects across the state.

Umar-Tafida noted that Governor Idris remains focused on building upon the achievements made since taking office, and he urged residents to continue supporting the administration, promising more benefits if re-elected.

The governor was accompanied by prominent party stakeholders and government officials, including Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu, as well as former lawmakers Adamu Aliero and Yahaya Abdullahi.
