Kebbi Hisbah launches crackdown on immoral activities, detains 25 people at local hotel

A total of 25 youths were apprehended by operatives of the Kebbi Hisbah Board in Argungu town due to their alleged participation in immoral behavior, all under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The Director of Shariah of the Board, Sirajo Kamba, issued a statement confirming the arrests, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

According to Kamba, the Kebbi Hisbah Board conducted a raid on a hotel in Argungu on July 3, resulting in the successful capture of 25 suspects who were allegedly engaged in immoral activities.

The breakdown of those arrested comprises 12 males and 13 females, as disclosed by Kamba in his statement.

Kamba explained that the operation was part of the board's ongoing endeavors to eradicate social vices, foster moral values, and uphold peace and decency throughout Kebbi.

The board, as stated by Kamba, will undertake a thorough investigation in accordance with the law, and anyone deemed culpable will be subject to the appropriate legal proceedings.
