Kano State Issues Ultimatum for 2027 Hajj Registrations, Cautions Against Delayed Fees Submission

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has set September 25 as the absolute cutoff for paying Hajj deposits and completing registration for the 2027 pilgrimage, with no exceptions to be made for latecomers.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the board's Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, in Kano, conveyed this warning from the Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle.

The cost of the Hajj deposit for the 2027 pilgrimage has been fixed at N8 million, and prospective pilgrims are being urged to finalize their payments and registration before the deadline.

Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle emphasized that all intending pilgrims must complete their payments and registration before the deadline to guarantee their spots for the pilgrimage.

The Director-General made it clear that the board will not grant any extensions or allocate Hajj seats to those who fail to meet the September 25 deadline.

According to Ibrahim-Matawalle, the deadline is necessary to facilitate effective planning and coordination for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
