Kano State APC Dismisses Allegations of Withdrawing Backing for Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress, Kano State Chapter, has issued a stern denial of a statement purportedly released by the Arewa APC Forum, Kano State Chapter, in which it allegedly withdrew support for President Bola Tinubu's bid for a second term.
nThis denial came in the form of a statement released on Saturday by Auwalu Abdullahi, the State Publicity Secretary of the party, who labelled the claim as false and misleading, and an attempt to damage the party's reputation.
nThe APC emphasised that none of its recognised or constitutionally backed organs have made such a decision, and that the Kano State Chapter remains fully committed to supporting President Tinubu and his administration.
nA statement from the party revealed that certain individuals and faceless groups are attempting to create confusion and disunity within the party, and that the so-called Arewa APC Forum is not a known entity within the party structure.
nThe party explicitly stated that this forum does not represent the views of APC members in Kano State, and that its claims should be disregarded.
nThe Kano APC, led by Umar Doguwa, expressed its confidence in President Tinubu's leadership, highlighting his administration's focus on delivering good governance, economic reforms, and national development.
nThe party urged its members and the general public to disregard the statement entirely, describing it as the work of mischief-makers seeking to cause unnecessary tension.
nThe statement concluded by reaffirming the party's unity and unwavering support for President Tinubu's vision for a better Nigeria.
nThe party also noted that the signatory of the purported withdrawal statement is faceless and not a stakeholder of the party at any level in Kano.
