Kano pledges support for Tinubu's 2027 presidential bid, according to Yusuf

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has reaffirmed his administration's dedication to securing a decisive victory for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2027 general elections, a commitment he underscored during an interactive session with government officials.

This gathering took place at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, where Yusuf emphasized the state's unwavering support for Tinubu's re-election bid, as conveyed through a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to Yusuf, Kano is poised to mobilize an overwhelming show of support for the APC, driven by the conviction that the current administration's leadership and vision are worthy of endorsement.

The governor explicitly directed all political appointees who have not yet registered as APC members to do so without delay, stressing that every government official must align themselves with the ruling party and contribute to bolstering its structures statewide.

Yusuf underscored the imperative of active participation by all elected and appointed officials in strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections, a responsibility that extends beyond governance to consolidating the party's grassroots presence.

The governor's administration has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the APC emerges victorious in all levels of the 2027 elections, including presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly, and local government polls.

In a move to motivate political office holders, the governor has approved the allocation of plots of land to over 300 political aides, accompanied by a one-time payment of N100,000 to each beneficiary.

Speaking at the meeting, Kano State House of Assembly Speaker Ismail Falgore asserted that the APC has every justification to promote President Tinubu's achievements to the state's populace, highlighting the visible impact of constituency projects facilitated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Kano APC Chairman Umar Haruna Doguwa expressed the party's readiness for the 2027 elections, noting that the "battle line has been drawn" with the Kwankwasiyya movement, and expressed confidence in the APC's eventual victory.
