Kano NDC candidate reminds citizens to obtain their voter cards before July 24 deadline

Aminu Gwarzo, the New Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Kano State, is calling on all unregistered eligible residents, particularly youths and women, to utilize the Independent National Electoral Commission's new online portal and sign up from the comfort of their own homes using their National Identification Number before the July 24 deadline.

Gwarzo's spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, issued a statement on Saturday announcing that the Independent National Electoral Commission has introduced a self-service registration platform, accessible via cvr.inecnigeria.org, allowing first-time voters to initiate and complete their registration online.

The importance of voting as a means for citizens to express their opinions and shape the country's democratic future was emphasized by Gwarzo, who noted that this fundamental right is a vital tool for influencing the nation's direction.

Gwarzo highlighted the benefits of the new online portal, stating that it eliminates the need to wait in long queues, enabling young people, mothers, and sisters to register from home using their phones or computers, thereby removing any excuses for not participating in the electoral process.

The New Democratic Congress governorship candidate specifically encouraged youths and women to come forward and register, stressing that the Permanent Voter Card is the sole instrument for driving positive change, serving as a powerful tool for transforming families, communities, and Kano State.

Gwarzo urged all eligible Nigerians who have yet to register to complete their online pre-registration, undergo biometric capture where necessary, and collect their Permanent Voter Cards once they become available, emphasizing that the future of Kano State and Nigeria hinges on the active participation of informed and responsible citizens.
