Kaduna Governor claims Tinubu's contributions to the North surpass those of all previous leaders.

According to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, President Bola Tinubu has made unprecedented contributions to Northern Nigeria, surpassing the achievements of any previous leader, with notable advancements in infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare.

Governor Sani made these remarks during an interview on ARISE Television on Tuesday, where he also dismissed speculation that the North would not support President Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027, asserting that the President would garner even more votes in the region than he did in the 2023 election.

Sani's assessment of President Tinubu's accomplishments is rooted in data and statistics, which he claims unequivocally demonstrate the administration's commitment to the region's development, with no previous leader having made comparable investments in the North.

The governor rejected suggestions that President Tinubu's popularity had waned in the North, describing such claims as a product of imagination, and instead expressed confidence that the President would receive more votes in 2027.

Sani attributed his optimism to the Federal Government's execution of landmark projects in Kaduna and other parts of the North, including the Abuja-Kaduna road project, which had stalled for years but is now nearing completion under the Tinubu administration.

The governor noted that over N600 billion has already been paid to the contractor for the Abuja-Kaduna road project, with the remaining balance expected to be settled by November, when the project is slated for commissioning.

Another notable project cited by Sani is the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road, which had been abandoned for over 25 years before the current administration approved funding, with the President recently paying part of the N178 billion required to construct the road.

The governor also praised the Federal Government's support for agriculture in Kaduna State, describing it as crucial to the local economy, and highlighting the provision of fertiliser to farmers as a key intervention by President Tinubu's administration.

Sani further highlighted the establishment of a Federal University of Science and Technology in southern Kaduna, the conversion of a state hospital into a Federal Medical Centre, and the approval of a light rail project for Kaduna as notable achievements of the administration.

The governor specifically mentioned that the Federal Executive Council had approved N1 trillion for the Kaduna Light Rail project, which is set to commence soon, following the completion of feasibility studies and the release of funds.

According to Sani, these projects collectively demonstrate the Federal Government's commitment to improving infrastructure and livelihoods across Northern Nigeria, with the governor expressing appreciation for the administration's efforts to develop the region.
