JAMB announces October cutoff for college enrollment

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders, has set specific deadlines for the completion of the 2025/2026 admission process for tertiary institutions across the nation.

These deadlines were established during the 2026 JAMB Annual Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions, which took place in Abuja on Monday.

The meeting's resolutions stipulate that all public universities must finalize their admission processes by October 31, 2026, at the latest, while private universities have been allotted until November 30, 2026, to do the same.

In a similar vein, polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of education are required to wrap up their admission exercises no later than December 31, 2026.

The policy meeting, attended by Vice-chancellors, Rectors, and other key players in the education sector, aimed to standardize the admission process and synchronize admission timelines across all tertiary institutions nationwide.
