Investigation launched into fatal incident involving Gombe pupil

The Gombe State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the death of a 28-year-old student of the Federal University Kashere identified as Enoch Sunday Maisamari, whose body was recovered from a stagnant water in Sabon Garin Yero Village, Akko Local Government Area of the state.
nThe Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Buhari Abdullahi, disclosed this in a text message sent to our correspondent on Friday.
nAccording to him, the incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, at about 9:30am.
nHe explained that the deceased was evacuated to the General Hospital, Kashere, where medical personnel confirmed him dead.
n“The victim was evacuated to the General Hospital, Kashere, where he was certified dead. No visible marks of violence were observed on the body. Investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the police spokesperson said.
nThe command said efforts are underway to establish the cause of the student’s death, urging members of the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
